Clifford's Tower, York

York Castle in the city of York, England, is a fortified complex comprising, over the last nine centuries, a sequence of castles, prisons, law courts and other buildings on the south side of the River Foss. The now-ruinous keep of the medieval Normancastle is commonly referred to as Clifford's Tower. Built originally on the orders of William I to dominate the former Viking city of York, the castle suffered a tumultuous early history before developing into a major fortification with extensive water defences. River Ouse

The River Ouse (/ˈuːz/ OOZ) is a river in North Yorkshire, England. Hydrologically the river is a continuation of the River Ure, and the combined length of the River Ure and River Ouse makes it, at 129 miles (208 km), the sixth longest river of the United Kingdom and (including the Ure) the longest to flow entirely in one county. The length of the Ouse alone is about 52 miles (84 km).

Baile Hill

No visit to York would be complete without a walk around the City Walls. At 3.4 kilometres long, the beautifully preserved walls are the longest medieval town walls in England. About 2.5 million people walk along all or part of the City walls each year, enjoying some amazing views. The completion of the entire circuit will take approximately 2 hours. There are five main bars or gateways, one Victorian gateway, one postern (a small gateway) and 45 towers. The walls weigh approximately 100,000 metric tonnes.

York City Wall มีความยาวทั้งหมด 3.4 กม พวกเราเดินได้ประมาณสัก 1 ใน 4 ของความยาวรอบกำแพง เราเดินลงใกล้ๆ กับแม่น้ำ Ouse และเดินกลับไปที่พักซึ่งไม่ไกลจากในเมืองมากนัก

เรากำลังเดินกลับไปที่ Blossoms York อยู่บนถนน Clifton นี้ และจะขับรถไป York Designer Outlet ใช้เวลาขับรถประมาณเกือบครึ่งชมเป็น Outlets เดินในห้องแอร์ ไม่ต้องเปียกฝน ทนหนาว แต่เราไปไม่ทัน พอไปถึงร้านกำลังเริ่มปิดประตูกันแล้ว ซื้อของไม่ทัน แต่บางคนซื้อผ้าคลุมกระเป๋าเดินทางได้ และเสื้อยืดได้ หลังจากนั้น ก็ขับรถกลับเข้าเมืองไปหาร้านอาหารสำหรับมื้อค่ำนี้ และผ่านไปเจอร้านอาหารจีนชื่อ Red Chilli

ระยะทาง 8 กม จากที่พัก Blossoms York ถึง York Designer Outlet ใช้เวลาประมาณเกือบครึ่งชม

และมีอาคารที่ฝากจอดรถจ่ายไป GBP 7.50

มื้อค่ำนี้จ่ายไปประมาณ GBP 90 รวม tip แล้ว อาหารดูหน้าตาดี น่ากิน แต่บางจานเค็มมากจนกินไม่ได้ กินอาหารเสร็จ ก็เดินแวะไป Supermarket ซื้อน้ำดื่ม ตอนกลางคืนอากาศเย็นลง ฝนตกนิดหน่อย เดินทางกลับที่พัก
