ขับรถจาก Witney ไป Cotswolds 

ระยะทางประมาณ 30 กม  แวะ Bibury และ Bourton on the water

ถึง Bibury ที่แรกเราเดินเข้าไปเป็น Arlington row บ้านที่สร้างอยู่เรียงกันเป็นแถว สวยงาม

ความสวยงามของ Arlington Row cottages นี้สร้างขึ้นในปี ค.ศ. 1380 เพื่อเป็นร้านขายผ้าขนสัตว์ของคณะพระสงค์ ต่อมาได้ถูกดัดแปลงเป็นกระท่อมเรียงแถวสำหรับช่างทอผ้าในศตวรรษที่ 17 ผ้าที่ผลิตที่นั่นได้ถูกส่งไปที่ Arlington Mill 

ที่ Arlington Row เป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวยอดนิยมของนักท่องเที่ยว และเป็นหนี่งในฉากที่ถูกถ่ายภาพมากที่สุด ได้รับการเก็บรักษาไว้โดย Royal College of Arts สถานที่นี้ยังใช้ในการถ่ายภาพยนตร์และโทรทัศน์ในเรื่อง Stardust and Bridget Jones's Diary ด้วย (ข้อมูลจาก Wikipedia) 

The picturesque Arlington Row cottages were built in 1380 as a monastic wool store. This was converted into a row of cottages for weavers in the seventeenth century. The cloth produced there was sent to Arlington Mill. Arlington Row is a popular visitor attraction, probably one of the most photographed Cotswold scenes, and was preserved by the Royal College of Arts. It has been used as a film and television location, most notably for the films Stardust and Bridget Jones's Diary  (from Wikipedia)

เดินลัดออกมาจาก Arlington Row ตามทางเดิน ก็ถึง Bibury อยู่บริเวณเดียวกัน

บ้านหลังเก่าขนาดใหญ่ อยู่ติดกันกับ Trout farm

 Bibury มี Trout farm ให้เข้าไปเยี่ยมชมได้ ไม่คิดเงิน

ด้านหลังที่เห็นไกลๆ นั้นคือ Swan Hotel

 

เดินตรงมาจาก Trout farm ก็ถึง Swan Hotel อยู่ใน Bibury เช่นกัน

บ้านแบบอังกฤษ ชอบปลูกดอกไม้เยอะๆ หน้าบ้าน ก็ดูสวย สดชื่นดี 

เราใช้เวลาประมาณ 1.30 ชม เดินเที่ยวที่ Bibury เสร็จ ก็เดินทางต่อไป Bourton on the Water

ขับรถจาก Bibury ไป Bourton on the Water 

ระยะทางประมาณ 20 กม. ใช้เวลาขับรถประมาณ 20 นาที

Bourton-on-the-Water อยู่ห่างจาก Stow-on-the-Wold เพียง 4 ไมล์

Bourton-on-the-Water is only 4 miles from Stow-on the-Wold
and straddles the river Windrush with its series of elegant low bridges beside neat tree-shaded greens and tidy stone banks. Standing back from the river are traditional Cotswolds buildings, many of which are now tourist shops for the day-trippers and visitors.

Bourton-on-the-Water has been described as the 'Little Venice' of the Cotswolds and is one of the most popular tourist spots in the region being serviced by the many shops, cafe's, and attractions.

ได้ที่จอดรถริมถนน ไม่ต้องเสียค่าจอดรถ แต่ไม่แน่ใจว่าต้องเสียหรือไม่ เลยไปถามผู้ชายอังกฤษที่จอดรถข้างๆ เค้าบอกไม่ต้องเสีย แต่ถ้าอยากจ่ายก็จ่ายให้เค้าก็ได้ แล้วเค้าก็หัวเราะอารมณ์ขันดีนะ

Bourton on the Water เป็นหมู่บ้านใหญ่กว่า Bibury มีคนเดินมากกว่า มีร้านขายของ เยอะมาก ร้านอาหาร Tea room ก็มีให้เลือกหลายร้าน

Bridge over the River Windrush

The village of Bourton-on-the-Water is known for its picturesque High Street, flanked by long wide greens and the River Windrush that runs through them. The river is crossed by several low, arched stone bridges. These arched bridges have led to Bourton-on-the-Water being called the "Venice of the Cotswolds". Bourton-on-the-Water often has more visitors than residents during peak times of the tourist season.

 กินมื้อกลางว้นเสร็จแล้ว ก็เตรียมตัวออกเดินทางไป Stonehenge 

Stonehenge, One of the world's greatest mysteries, Stonehenge is a massive circle of 3,500-year-old standing stones and earthworks located in the middle of a green field in Wiltshire. While it's unclear who built the landmark or how, Stonehenge is surely one of Britain's most important ancient monuments, having been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986.

 ค่าเข้าชม Stonehenge ประมาณ เกือบ GBP 20 แล้วก็ต้องเดินเข้าไปประมาณ 3 กม เราก็เลยไม่ได้เข้าไปชมใกล้ๆ แต่ขับรถไปถนน ที่ใกล้ที่สุดแล้ว เลยได้มาแค่นี้

 

Stonehenge ใบแบบของเรา อยู่แค่ปลายนี้วชี้นี่เลยครับ

มองหิน Stonehenge ไม่เห็น เอากระเป๋าสวยมาถือเล่นดีกว่าค่ะ ว๊าว!! สุขใจ ออกมาจาก Stonehenge ประมาณเกือบ 5 โมงเย็น เดินทางต่อไปบ้านคุณ John และคุณเล็กพี่สาวของนิดที่ Pulbourough
